Tarragona
This area is a treat of Roman ruins. And I don’t think we would have found it without our Timeshare Tour.
Tony just kept finding Timeshares in Spain around the areas we wanted to visit, and the result is that we have stumbled upon lovely out of the way places.
We are staying in Salou, about 7 miles from Tarragona.
They have their own snail fountain.
We pondered this for a long minute…
Tarragona was the capitol of the Roman Empire in this area….it wasn’t Spain yet. It was Hispania, and ruled by Emperor Augustus.
Oh, and me, waiting for wine.
Then we found The Forum, popping up in the middle of a residential neighborhood!
If I heard the music from the audio guide more than once …
I mean, that could be the sole reason Rome fell. Terrible music.
After that we drove out of town and found this.
Here’s how they built it.
How did they cross the continent, and the English Channel and build these same structures everywhere?
Heeyyy!
One is amazing. Multiples blow my mind.
Here’s the perfectly aligned view from the top of the aqueduct.
There was a message at the entrance to the Ferreres Aqueduct.

That was so cool that viaduct and bridge. You're not that much shorter than Tony are you? Did you shrink?
